No. Roovie is a completely independent, high-fidelity physics engine (conduction, convection, radiation, moisture, HVAC, ground coupling, and renewables), built from the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals. We do not interop or call out to EnergyPlus at any point. The simulation is ours end-to-end.
We have passed the full ASHRAE 140-2020 standard across all four test suites: thermal fabric, space-cooling equipment, space-heating equipment, and air-side HVAC. Roovie is publicly listed on the ASHRAE Std. 140 Validator as a validated simulation tool; see the official software list.
No. The AI agents handle zoning, assembly assignment, HVAC selection, and schedule generation. That said, every output is editable, overridable, and auditable, so BEMP specialists on your team can still drive every decision when they want to.
Most simulations finish in under a minute; runtime scales with building and system complexity, not with how you set things up. You can run up to 10 simulations concurrently per tenant, and timesteps are configurable from 1–60 minutes depending on fidelity.
Yes. Exports include IDF, gbXML, JSON, PDF (reports), and XLSX (results tables). Import supports .dwg, .dxf, and .ifc for geometry. The full REST API gives you the rest.
Roovie is currently in pre-beta. For now, send us an address or a Revit file and we'll stand up a private portal with your calibrated model and whatever reports you need; no pricing page yet. Subscription tiers and self-serve access will roll out as we move into general availability.
